Time After Time

The song Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper has always made me think of my sister. It came out in 1984. My sister was 17 and had already been married and divorced. She lived in a trailer with her ex-husband’s best friend. Cyndi Lauper in this video reminded me of her. A year later my sister died. The song made me cry for years afterwards. I thought that it had lost it’s emotional punch, but it randomly came on and sent a very intense chill up my spine. I’m glad. My memories fade all the time and sometimes it scares me how hard it is to remember what she was like. I remember that she amazed me and I wanted to be just like her.
